  • The Alstead Selectmen will be attending the annual meeting of the Lake Warren Preservation Association Saturday, June 6, 10am at the Orchard Hill pavilion

  • The Alstead Select Board meeting, scheduled for Tuesday, June 9th, has been Cancelled.​

  • An abbreviated Alstead Select Board meeting has been scheduled for Wednesday, June 10th, 5:00 pm at the Town Hall, 9 Main Street.   • The Alstead Cemetery Commission will be meeting Tuesday, June 9th, at 5:00 pm, at the Town Offices, 15 Mechanic Street. A meeting of the Alstead Trustees of the Trust Funds will immediately follow the Cemetery Commission meeting.

  • Flag Day is June 14th. The Town will have an official ceremony retiring damaged flags on that day. If any Alstead residents have damaged flags that they would like to donate to the event, the Town Office will be accepting them from now until June 14th.

  • Due to the decision by the New Hampshire Department of Transportation to completely close NH Route 123a / Acworth Road for construction this summer, the Vilas Pool Park will be closed to the public for the 2026 season.

  • Burn Permits are required for open fires on your property. Burn permit information is on the Fire Department web page. Click "Fire" on the DEPARTMENTS drop-down menu.​​

  • The Alstead Select Board needs to appoint a new Emergency Management Director, find a new Health Officer,  which the State will appoint, along with a Municipal Cleaner. Click on the Employment button to the left (or below, under "Local and State Resources" if you are on your phone) for more information.​​

  • Genasys, which is a Town-wide safety alert system, and replaces the now inactive "Code Red" system, will be available to all town residents in the near future. This service is free to all Alstead residents, but you can only sign up at one of the meetings, which will begin sometime in June.​​

  • ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Building permits, Intent to Cuts, Exemptions, Current Use, Abatement info, Subdivision Plans, Updates to Tax Cards & Deeds, and Lot Line Adjustments are now being handled by the Land  Clerk, Sharon Iozzo. Contact Sharon with your questions via telephone at (603) 835-2986, by email at siozzo@alsteadnh.gov or stop by the Town Offices to speak with her in person.​​
