Information about the purchase of burial plots in Alstead:

Cemetery plots may be acquired by contacting the Alstead Cemetery Commission.

When a cemetery plot is purchased, the money is used to establish a new Cemetery Trust Fund. The interest from this fund is used to offset the cost of maintaining the cemetery. For 2025, the total amount of interest was $18,467. And in 2025, the Alstead Taxpayers paid $34,609 to maintain all 7 cemeteries in town.

Single burial plot - 4' x 11' - $400 

Includes either 1 casket or 1 cremation burial.

When a cremation burial is chozen, it is allowed to have up to 4 additional cremation burials in said plot at $100 per cremation internment. The additional money will be added to the $400 cemetery trust fund.​

Corner stone markers are required within six months of plot purchase, installation is free.
