The Alstead / Langdon Transfer Station does not collect Household Hazardous Waste for disposal, and neither Alstead nor Langdon is a participating community in the Keene Household Hazardous Waste Facility. However, if you are an Alstead Resident, you are entitled to a $100 reimbursement per year, if you dispose of your hazardous waste at the Keene facility. Just bring your reciept to the Town Office / Selectboard Admin window to get your reimbursement.

Keene’s Household Hazardous Waste collections are held at 55 Old Summit Road from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., with multiple dates throughout spring, summer, and fall 2026. For more details, click here.
