Alstead Town Offices will be open by Appointment only Beginning Monday, April 6, 2020 (Until Further Notice)

The Alstead Select Board continues to actively monitor the COVID-19 situation, which is rapidly evolving. While the risk for widespread community transmission of COVID-19 in Alstead and Cheshire County remains low, the Board is committed to the continued health and optimal safety of our residents as well as our employees. To this end, the Select Board, along with our Emergency Manager, our Health Officer, and our Police, Fire, and Ambulance departments, is staying apprised of the situation in New Hampshire as it unfolds. and we intend to do our part to "flatten the curve" of the COVID-19 pandemic. We have decided that beginning Monday, April 6, 2020, the Town Offices at 15 Mechanic Street will be open by appointment only.

In today’s world, most of the transactions for our residents can be done online or arranged via phone or email. Resident questions can and will be answered via phone or email.

In hope of flattening the pandemic curve, we ask our Alstead neighbors and friends to please:

  • Stay home.

  • Work from home, if you can.

  • Wash your hands frequently and well (20 seconds).

  • Reach out to your neighbors to offer support, such as running errands or picking up medications.

The Select Board recommends and encourages all residents to use the online options for registrations with the Town Clerk/Tax Collector’s Office.
