You are hereby notified that pursuant to RSA 675:7 the Planning Board will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, December 12th, 2011 starting at 7:00PM at the Alstead Municipal Building; the purpose of which is to present the proposed amendment changes to the Town of Alstead Zoning Ordinance, pertaining to Article II, Article III Section C, Article IV Section B 2 & I, Article V Section B, and Article VII Section A & D; and to propose the adoption of a new Small Wind Energy Systems Ordinance. The proposed amendments and new Ordinance are available for review at the Town Offices for inspection during regular office hours, as well as online at www.alsteadnh.org.

Attorney Waugh will be presenting a short update on recent legal changes and case law decisions, changes in the legal duties of local officials, as well as providing an opportunity to become better acquainted. This is also an opportunity for local officials to ask particular questions about ongoing local issues.

| Conservation Training Sessions | You are invited to participate in a new Land Conservation Training Program for community leaders in the Monadnock Region. This is a great opportunity to learn more about protecting land in your community from some of This training is presented by the Community Conservation Partnership, a collaborative initiative of the Monadnock Conservancy, the Center for Land Conservation Assistance, Antioch New England Institute, and the Southwest Region Planning Commission. The goal of this initiative is to strengthen the land protection capacity of towns in the Monadnock Region. This training is one of several services being developed by CCP. It aims to prepare community leaders to work with land owners interested in protecting their property’s natural resource values, with local governments seeking ways to protect their town’s rural character and special places, and with land trusts. This training is sponsored by funds raised through the Monadnock Tomorrow capital campaign and grants awarded to the Monadnock Conservancy by the Jessie B. Cox Charitable Lead Trust, the Northeast Utilities Foundation, and the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation.
